Get this on TV. Attack them with wit and intelligence. Start a "truth" campaign. Shut it down. People at the least would be entertained, and everyone would start talking. That's how we would get results. Brilliance!
This Governor has been inconsistent from day one....you really captured his true essence with this one Gladys - say one thing then do the complete opposite....inevitablity rears it's ugly head yet again. Why is it so difficult for this Governor to understand that an Indian casino will only happen if we let it happen by legalizing class III gambling? Using the "we need to beat them to the punch" tactic is a new low, even for Deval.
Devalue is like a reed blowing in the wind. His opinion and convictions are swayed by those in control. He will say and do anything for his own benefit and the benefit of those who want to maintain their own power over government. He is a puppet. Just as the Mashpees and the Middleboro Selectmen are puppets to the investors. Hollow, wooden puppets.
When I first heard about land in Middleboro being sold to build a casino, I was scared. I don't live in Middleboro but I know the problems a casino creates aren't going to stop short at the town border. So I went down to a meeting at the town hall where an attorney, an expert in tribal law, was telling everybody that it was all over. Give up. Sign on the dotted line. Then I got really scared. So I got on the Internet and read all about the effects Indian gambling casinos have on surrounding communities. Then I was downright terrified.
I became the first non-resident member of CasinoFacts.org, a grassroots organization formed by Middleboro residents who felt the same as I did.
Some of what I've heard and seen while fighting a casino is pretty hard to believe. But then no one believed Gladys Kravitz, either.

Why doesn't he just admit he's sick of driving to Losswoods and Mohegan sum.
