Adam Bond, quoted in today's edition of the Connecticut paper 'The Day' about 'inconsistencies' in Marshall's military record:
“I don't believe that that has any bearing on the negotiations he had with the town and the sincerity and honesty with which he dealt with us,” Bond said. “And until I see something more, I don't think there's anything more I can say about it. But I'm not uncomfortable. I still trust the man.”
I cannot believe that Bond is defending this man! ...until I remembered the clause in the contract about positive talk:
"The Town will reasonably assist the Tribe in responding to negative comments about the Project, reiterating the Town's support and the basis therefor."
He probably is not ALLOWED to say anything negative or questioning about the new revelations because it could be construed as a negative response per the agreement...
I am so glad I voted no...
Hasn't anyone in charge ever heard of Google?????
Unbelievable...am I going to wake up soon from this nightmare????
Casino friend web site ( Tony ) has taken out many pictures like Glen the man and I tried to sign up for his blog but it dosent appear to be working ????? Wonder why... Is Mrs Bond pacing the town hall ?
Bond said questions about Marshall may be part of an effort to discredit the casino plan. “I think people are digging to find dirt.”
HUH...? ARE YOU STILL PRETENDING ITS LAST WEEK?
“I think Glenn Marshall is what you see: there's not a deception, it's not a façade,” Middleborough Selectman Adam Bond said. “Like everyone else, he has a little bit of the politician in him. That's not a bad thing.”
IN OTHER WORDS, IT IS A DECEPTION, IT IS A FACADE. WHATS MOST STRIKING ABOUT BOND IS HIS COMFORT IN ASSOCIATING WITH A CRIMINAL. 'little bit of the politician in him,' PLEASE!
Bond said,And until I see something more, I don't think there's anything more I can say about it. But I'm not uncomfortable. I still trust the man.”...Tell me, are you for real!!!! Mr Bond haven't you ever heard of the saying..." A man is only as good as his word"...I also want to add another one of your quotes."Kid yourself not,the age of Middleboro innocents is gone", and so isn't Glen Marshall's. I will leave you with this quote."Crime does not pay ... as well as politics. Alfred E. Newman
My wife and I agreed from the start,Glenn gave us the creeps. We didn't trust him.Now we all know there's a concrete reason for that. This news is less shocking than it is reasuring, when you have a hunch it's usually correct. My newest hunch is,keep up the good fight and I think we'll all enjoy the outcome. That goes for proponents too.Let's make it a better Middleboro without a casino. Please do not dismiss the fact that he is a RAPIST, A RAPIST.
Bondo will self-destruct & doesn't need your assitance. He's no more consequential than the rest of the Board. Anyone asking about Marshall's financial records? How come he had a new vehicle each time he appeared in public? Anyone notice? Anyone do a google about the tribe's Abramoff connections? They are there and the Globe did an article. Anyone do a google on Sol Kerzner? Is anyone pursuing the $$$$? Impoverished tribe!
Since Ellen Grant & Wayne Perkins were so adament that sex offenders' photos appear in the Annual Town report, will next year's include Glenn Marshall? Where are the media quotes from them? Come on, Wayne! Comment on another sex offender?
The irony here is that the no casino advocates really support the true Wampanoag tribe. Amelia Bingham was shunned for looking at Glenn Marshall's financial records with the tribe. She was RIGHT, she warned us all to beware of Glenn Marshall. A convicted RAPIST had the power to have her shunned! WE should all stand behind Amelia and support her mission to be un-shunned. Her agenda is truly pure for the Wampanoag people.
Adam Bond is an implant for casino intrests. He has ties to casino interests in Detroit.Do you really believe that he and his family just stumbled upon Middleboro? He is here to exploit our green pastures and turn the elderly and the needy into "Bond zombies". Try archiving selectmans meetings before the casino issue,Bond appears to be a greenhorn.Fastforward to the present and he's negotiating an agreement to host a 1 billion dollar casino? Banish Bond!
Saturday's Bond quote is: "we don't have to look that far in our state for people with criminal actions in their backgrounds..." Isn't that just like him? Can't actually deal with an issue without a thinly veiled threat.

Ellen Grant was adamantly opposed to publishing sex offenders in the Town Report. She called me several times to keep the Town Report devoid of such non Town Government items. She also came to BOS meetings to publicly state her strong opinion on camera against the publishing.
The idea of putting sex offenders in the Town report came from Chief Russell. I picked up the ball and ran hard with it. I believe a majotity of other selectmen supported my adamant posistion after I would not allow the issue to die. You would have to check the minutes from the meeting to be sure (it was two or three years ago).
Unfortunatley, even if Mr. Marshall were a resident of Middleborough, he would most likely be only a level two or three offender (level one being the most extreme), and would not have qualified to be listed in the Town Report, as level two sex offenders enjoy a level of legal protection.
There were, I believe, only four level one offenders in The Town at the time of the vote.
I would STRONGLY suggest to all parents and women to go to the police station and get a copy of level two offenders (there are MANY in YOUR town). Most are just as bad as the level one offenders in the crime they committed. The only difference is that a social worker or judge deemed them less likely to victimize a child or woman again. Sadly, to get a copy a copy of the level two offenders you must provide identification and wait a day or two to get the list. You as an individual can distibute information on level two offenders, The Town proper cannot (as I recall).
While I said I would not blog again, I did not want to see Ellen Grant's posistion completely misrepresented, and saw a valid opportunity to help inform the public on sex offenders.
Please feel free to call me if you want clarification on this issue.
Adam Bond is quoted as saying in a recent article "the deal is with the tribe, not Glenn Marshall". He is trying to justify every single mistake he has made.Adam, admit your dealings were with a dishonest man (not unlike yourself),and acknowledge that you are losing faith in this casino idea.If Glenn Marshall has forcefully admitted ,thru the power of the media, that he is,in fact full of shite, how much truth and honesty do you think the agreement contains? I know,it was negotiated in good faith. And by the way,if the deal is with the tribe then why has the tribe stated they feel left in the dark about his (rapist) dealings.
Lincoln writes: Unfortunatley, even if Mr. Marshall were a resident of Middleborough, he would most likely be only a level two or three offender (level one being the most extreme), and would not have qualified to be listed in the Town Report, as level two sex offenders enjoy a level of legal protection.
I just wanted to clarify that the levels described are reversed. A level 3 sex offender is the worst and most likely to reoffend and it is the level 3 offenders that are readily published and available online. The level 1 and 2 offenders are only available by written request from the local police department.
In a Boston Herald article today, his attorney says that Marshall is a registered level 1 sex offender, however his name is conveniently missing from any database....
"Police in Marshall’s hometown of Falmouth say he’s not on their pervert list and have notified the state Sex Offender Registry Board. SORB spokesman Charles MacDonald said Marshall is also not in the state database and that the board is “reviewing the facts.”
But Wampanoag attorney Bill McDermott disputed the law enforcement records, and said Marshall is registered as a Level 1 offender - considered the least likely to reoffend. "
Get your facts straight. (level one being the most extreme), Its level 3 is the most extreme. How can someone come on these sites and say complete garbage. Get your facts straight We look bad enough!

There are 3 Levels of Sex Offenders in Massachusetts
Level 1 Sex Offenders
Where the Sex Offender Registry Board determines that the risk of reoffense by an offender is low and the degree of dangerousness posed to the public by that offender is not such that a public safety interest is served by public availability, the Board shall give that offender a Level 1 designation. Information on Level 1 offenders will not be available to the public. Neither the police nor the Board have authority to disseminate information to the general public identifying a Level 1 offender. Information identifying Level 1 offenders may only be given to the department of correction, any county correctional facility, the department of youth services, the department of social services, the parole Board, the department of probation and the department of mental health, all city and town police departments and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for law enforcement purposes.
Level 2 Sex Offenders
Where the Board determines that the risk of reoffense is moderate and the degree of dangerousness posed to the public is such that a public safety interest is served by public availability of registration information, it shall give a level 2 designation to the sex offender.
The public shall have access to the information regarding a level 2 offender through the Local Police Department and through the Sex Offender Registry Board.
Level 3 Sex Offenders
Where the Board determines that the risk of reoffense is high and the degree of dangerousness posed to the public is such that a substantial public safety interest is served by active dissemination, it shall give a level 3 designation to the sex offender.
The public shall have access to the information regarding a level 3 offender through the Local Police Departments and through the Sex Offender Registry Board .

My name is Mary Tufts, and I live in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
In early 2007 I first heard about land right down the street in Middleboro being sold to build a casino, and knew the problems a casino would create weren't going to stop short at the town border.
Aside from voting, I'd never participated in government, so I didn't know what to expect when I went to Middleboro town hall to sit in on an informational meeting about the casino - but I didn't expect to hear an attorney, who claimed to be an expert in tribal law, telling everyone that it was all over. To give up and sign on the dotted line.
That didn't seem right to me. It didn't even seem American to me.
I heard a lot of pros and cons of expanded gambling that night, and over the next few years, but most of the things I learned scared me. Witnessing the process scared me more. So I guess I just decided to stop being scared, and start fighting.
I met a lot of fantastic (and not so fantastic) people along the way, and became part of grassroots movement to preserve quality of life, kick corporate influence out of politics, and rid government of it's gambling addiction.
Welcome to my adventures in activism.
